Best Mutual Fund Site Award for Cohen & Steers For the second consecutive year the financial firm Cohen & Steers received the Web Marketing Association's award for Best Mutual Fund Website. Judges in the competition evaluated the site based on the criteria of innovation, content, interactivity, design, technology, ease of use and navigation. The award panel was composed of site designers, content providers, webmasters, members of the media, and advertising executives. The executive vice president and director of sales and marketing for Cohen & Steers, John McCombe, said the WebAward demonstrates the company's ongoing commitment to the timely delivery of information and to the ability to provide an exceptionally high level of service to investors. He identified these factors as the firm's internal measure for their site's success. The Web Marketing Association has hosted the WebAward competition for the last ten years. The Association is an independent organization staffed by volunteers who are dedicated to setting a high standard of excellence in the online presentation of useful data. Websites representing 96 industries were singled out this year for recognition. Nominations are submitted through a network of interactive agencies and website marketing departments representative of 33 nations. One judge, in commenting on the Cohen & Steers site said, "As an individual investor, it is easy to select the target area and once selected, it is easy to find more detail. The site is very pleasant and well written; an excellent site." The site received exceptionally high marks for its precise focus on the firm's target audience. Cohen & Steers manages high-income equity portfolios with an emphasis on U.S. REITs, preferred securities, utilities, international real estate securities, and large cap value stocks.
