Financial market witnesses a huge demand in small sized mutual funds Mutual funds have always been a preferred form of investment owing to the low risk safe returns and diversification of portfolios. Therefore one needs to keep in mind the fact that mutual funds are a suitable form of investments especially for those investors who aim to play safe in the stock market. Despite mutual funds being subject to market risks there are not much evidences to suggest or substantiate that they are highly volatile and in many cases risks have been comparatively lower when compared with stock markets. Mutual funds are highly preferred in developing nations like India. There are lots of players operating them and a huge public shows interest in investing in them than shares or bonds or other types of financial instruments. Mutual funds are liked for many reasons. One of the main reason why they are preferred other than shares are that somebody else more so competent in the areas of finance, that the investor himself is making the investment for and on behalf of the investor and the investor gets fruitful returns as and when the speculations are correct and even otherwise the returns are pretty decent considering the diversified portfolio offered by mutual funds. In this context it has been found in Indian market that there is great demand for small and medium level mutual funds. It is also reported that investors will gradually increase their liking over these types of funds and leave the bigger ones in due course of time. This has already been sensed by some of the leading companies and they have already made huge plans to go about investing in this. Similarly there are lot of change sin the consumer behavior and buying patterns when it comes to open ended mutual funds and closed ended mutual funds. Whatever is the case it is just not possible to make instantaneous decisions on the basis of these short term investments. Though some of them may reflect the true position of the financial market they are only an exemption. Mutual funds are a very important issue and one must bear in mind that they play a great role in the operation of economy. |
